Histories 

 

Beach Noise was founded in 2022 by 

J Swells as a solo project

 

The 1st album "$WIM$" 

(an experimental instrumental electronic album)

was created during the pandemic based on beats made with a gifted drum machine from the 1980's and layered with modern synth sounds and the occasional guitar, bass, voice sample.

After the release of $WIM$, Beach Noise sort of trashed that concept and took a turn towards dream-pop / garage-rock recordings inspired by artists like T. REX, THE STROKES, FLAMING LIPS, NIRVANA, RADIOHEAD, BUILT TO SPILL, ETC beginning with the 1st self produced single "Motorbike" and was quickly joined by Greg Sauniér of Deerhoof for single releases such as "Sunset to Sunrise", "Rock Around The Sun", and "Heavy Like Metal"

 

With the dream of becoming a live rock n roll project, Swells reached out to some of his all time best friends (Nicky Benz, Art RocknRoll, and DJ Sugatroll) who happened to rock and roll very well as a group. The band has just recently been in the studio and is creating a high-energy, heavy riff filled batch of epic songs including new favorites like "Twenty-Porsche Heaven", "Climb On The Bomb", "Beach Baby", "Electrify" and more

 

Their debut record "Take The Edge On" is anticipating a 2026 release date on DOWD RECORDS
